She was preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Mary Lavery, husband George H. Gerken, daughter Marianne Gerken Mayer, sister Doris Dick, and brother Edwin Lavery. She is survived by her son Thomas Gerken, six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, California.
