Loris June Schaafsma

Loris "June" Schaafsma, 90, of Upland, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, passed away peacefully at home on March 19, 2016. June was born in Wichita, Kansas on June 4, 1925. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Peter, and her infant children Sharon and Brent; she is survived by her loving children, Don and his wife Holly, David, and Deanne Dalrymple; grandchildren, Kate Brofft and her husband Tobe, Kylie Hansen and her husband Taylor, and Courtney Seymour; as well as nieces Diane Paul, Donna McInteer, nephew Larry Wesson, his wife Eileen and many other loving family members.

June was involved for many years in the dairy and cattle industries in Chino and Oakdale. She was a long time member of Emmanuel Reformed Church in Paramount and a long time supporter of their ministerial internship program.

Viewing will be from 3:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, March 23rd at Forest Lawn Long Beach, California. A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn, Long Beach at 9:30am Thursday morning March 24th. A Memorial Service will be held afterwards on Thursday, March 24th at 11:00 am at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Paramount. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Emmanuel Reformed Church Internship Program or the City of Hope.
