Lorie Jean Alispones was born April 4, 1951 and lived in Glendora, California. She was the only daughter of Nicholas and Marjorie Alispones and is survived by her sibling, Robert (Bob) Alispones, living in Ohio.

Lorie was 69 years old when she passed away on August 7, 2020 in Glendora, California from a rapidly progressing, terminal lung disease, complicated by Congestive heart failure.

Lorie graduated Glendora High School in 1969 and recently attended her 50th high school reunion where she was reacquainted with many old friends.  She was one of the first female guitar players in a rock and roll band.  She attended Citrus College after high school and eventually went on to the University of La Verne where she attained her bachelors degree in Behavioral Science and received her license in California as a Marriage and Family Therapist.

Founder of Acacia Counseling, Lorie ran two successful offices in El Monte and Glendora for 30 years, employing several counselors and working closely with the courts.

Lorie traveled the world and was a friend to those she met.  She was willing to help others and was considered by those she knew as a kind and loving person.  She will be missed.

A lover of all kinds of animals, Lorie donated time and money to the betterment of animals and it was her wish that donations on her behalf be made to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in lieu of flowers.
