Lori Jan Rowan

Lori Jan Rowan, born on September 30, 1956, in Los Angeles, CA, graced this world with her love, warm spirit, positivity, and great sense of humor, until she left us on July 7, 2026, at the age of 69. As a dedicated lead teacher with the Los Angeles Unified School District for over two decades, Lori loved and nurtured her students, leaving an indelible mark on all who entered her classroom.

Lori’s unwavering faith and devotion also found a home at Bel Air Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon, and was active with the church community she loved all her life.

At the time of her passing, Lori resided at her family home in Encino, a place filled with cherished memories and love. Her legacy of kindness, faith, and love is etched on the hearts of all those she touched.

She is survived by her sister Lisa Greig Rowan, niece Gigi Rippee McGill, and grand nieces Charlie and Jane McGill. And also by her beloved and devoted main caregiver Shirley Gonzalez, as well as loving caregivers Rosemary Gonzalez and Merlene Williams.

There will be a small graveside service for family and friends on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn in Hollywood Hills. All are welcome.
