Lorenza Santos Seijas

Lorenza Santos Seijas, daughter of Pedro Santos and Faustina Sosa, born on September 7, 1921, in Guatemala City, Guatemala, passed away July 6, 2016. She resided in Los Angeles, California at thet time of her passing. She's survived by her daughters Margo, Estela and sons Francisco and Gabriel, 20 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. They Used the term of endearment "Mama Lencha". Don Juan Seijas, was her life companion of 50 years with whom she had 6 children, she lost one of her youngest " Osvi" when he was only five years old due to an accident, and The youngest of three of her daughters, who lost her battle with ALS last February at 72. Lorenza and Juan officially got married in California in their golden age. He expired from a head injury a day before their first great grandson, Hugo was born. He was 73. Dona Lencha had a connection with people through food and her cooking skills also help her to be a big provider for her family. Aaawwhhh, her tamales, chile rellenos and other "Antojitos Chapines" mmm were the best! She did for everyone and for all equally. She was a hardworking, independent, generous, vivacious, and caring great little woman! Mama Lencha made us all laugh with her anecdotes and innuendoes. She loved to sing and dance, as she aged Dementia set in becoming feistier than ever. It was devastating for the family, friends and neighbors to know she couldn't recognize them anymore. She loved to talk about her past; the bad and the good stories were told with great passion as a life well lived with sorrows and memories of her good old days! We thank The Lord for allowing her to live among us for almost 95 years. She will be greatly missed and forever live in our memories and mostly in our hearts.
