Lonnie White

It is with honor that we are here to celebrate the homegoing of Lonnie White, a deeply loved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Born in Jefferson County and raised in Ensley, Lonnie was a hardworking, dedicated, and strong man who brought joy to those around him with his wonderful sense of humor. He attended Westin-Olin High School, where he met the love of his life, Mary Louise Clarke. The two remained devoted to one another for 66 years, building a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories. Above all, Lonnie loved his family with all his heart. He was a devoted husband to Mary and an incredible father to his two sons, Cedric and Kedrick, and their wives, Tiffany and Kimberly White. He was also a loving and amazing grandfather to Jordan, Ryan, and Kennedy, and a proud great-grandfather to Kingston and Milli.Lonnie was a friend to many and will be remembered for his strength, dedication, kindness, and wonderful sense of humor. His presence brought comfort and joy to those fortunate enough to know him. Additionally Lonnie had tremendous work ethic. During his many years working at Longview Fibre in Vernon California as a shipping clerk he took on the role of the onsite union representative of the Western Pulp and Paper Workers Union of America. Where he would negotiate labor agreement provide guidance during management and labor disputes and was often successful in his efforts. In retirement he took the role of Tutor and Mentor at Banning High School in Wilmington California in after school program "Saturday Project". His legacy of love, devotion, and family will live on forever through the lives of those he loved and the memories they will cherish.Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
