Lolita Cruz Nuqui

Lolita Cruz Nuqui, age 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025 in Los Angeles, CA. She was born June 25, 1940, in Pasig City, Philippines, to Ernesto Cruz and Francisca Castro. She started her career as a weaving instructor with Litton Mills. She married Magdaleno Ogalino Nuqui on June 26, 1965 in Pasig City, Philippines. After marriage and starting a family, she dedicated herself to being a stay-at-home spouse and mother to her four children. She later rekindled her career by becoming a salesperson and working her way up to head cashier for Loehmann’s Department Store in Los Angeles, CA. Lolita had a love for fashion and received great joy in being surrounded by women’s clothing and accessories for 16 years. She also found great pleasure in spending time with family and friends, cooking and sharing the food she prepared, listening to music, and sewing. She is survived by her husband, Magdaleno; her children, Ruel, Rommel, Mariciel, and Ryan; her grandchildren, Danica, Rochelle, Ronan, Brady, Isabella, and Christian; her brothers, Benjamin, and Romeo; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
