At 94 years of age, Lois Weber passed peacefully in her sleep. She enjoyed life and got the most out of every day.
Lois was born on Sept 15, 1931 the fourth of seven children to Ted and Jenny Neumiller. She was born into farm life where she learned to work hard. In 1954 she married Willmar Weber, who was in the Navy at the time. During his service she taught in a one room school house.
Upon his discharge, Lois and Willmar resumed farming until 1967 when they decided to load up the cars and move to Lakewood, California that is, with sunshine and no snow. There she lived for 57 years in the same house.
Lois worked at Kaiser Permanente for 24 years in various clerical positions. She retired and blossomed . She joined a tole painting class that became a passion, almost obsession with her. She painted on anything, including the brick wall outside her kitchen window. If you stood still too long she may have painted you! Even when her eyes started to fade she managed to keep the paint brush working.
She traveled extensively with family, loved playing cards with her kids, and enjoyed working in her garden. She enrolled in a flower arranging class and met ladies that became lunch partners. There were no strangers in her sphere. She enjoyed socializing, and if you were lucky enough to have her enter your world, you remembered Lois. She was the stylish lady dressed to the hilt!
Lois was preceded in death by her husband and 6 siblings. She is survived by her five children, Rhonda (Weber) Burd, Terry Weber, Roxane (Weber) Bakerjian, Randy Weber and Lori Jo (Weber) Fulmer, five grandkids and one great grandson. But she will be missed by so many more.
