Lois Kay Carpenter McGovern was born on July 11, 1938 in Canal Winchester, Ohio. She passed On June 22,2023 in Long Beach, California. Lois was married to John (who passed in 2020) for 65 years. They met in Chicago, lived in Illinois, Connecticut and settled in Long Beach. Lois worked in Chicago with a stocks and bond company and did caregiving for the elderly. Lois, along with John, was a member of the Long Beach MG club. They enjoyed cruising, camping and vintage trailer rallies. Lois spoiled her family in Ohio and Massachusetts by sending unique Christmas gifts to everyone. Her kindness will truly be missed. Lois is survived by daughter Anjie, brothers Don (Deb), Ron (Linda) and John's family; sister-in-law Pat (Paul deceased), brothers Donald (Sue), Kenny (Dottie), Robert (Sharlene) and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by son David and sister Agnes. Burial will be at the Lithopolis, Ohio cemetery at a later date.
