Plaistow, NH: Lois E. (Crockett) Chase, 84, a lifelong resident of Plaistow, died on June 1, 2015 at Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood, NH.

Born in Haverhill and raised and educated in Plaistow, daughter of the late Charles M. and Vivian (Landman) Crockett, she attended Pollard School and graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1948. Mrs. Chase went on to attend Fisher College in Boston.

Mrs. Chase was employed as a dietary aide in the kitchen at Rockingham County Nursing Home for many years. She had been previously employed as a secretary at Merrick Oil and as a driver for Sweet Hill Kindergarten. Mrs. Chase also sold Avon products.

A member of the First Baptist Church in Plaistow, Mrs. Chase was devoted to her cat, Rusty. She enjoyed knitting, and completing crossword puzzles. An avid Andre Rieu fan, Mrs. Chase and her longtime companion attended many of his concerts. She also enjoyed attending the Plaistow Summer Concerts on the Green.

She was predeceased by her husband, Lauren Chase, and is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Scott R. and Carol Chase of Swanville, ME, a daughter Rhonda L. Chase and her fiancé William F. Belcher of Plaistow, her companion of seventeen years, Alvin "Butch" Blaney of Danville, a sister-in-law, Merlene Farrar of Plaistow, two grandchildren, Brooke E. Chase and Dustin C. Chase both of Rockland, ME, and two cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Charles "Charlie" Crockett.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, June 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will take place on Monday at 1:15 p.m. in the funeral home followed by burial in Plaistow Cemetery.
