Lloyd Derwin Thatcher

Lloyd Derwin Thatcher was born on May 16, 1929 in Culver City, CA was raised in South Los Angeles, and graduated from Fremont High School in 1948. He married his childhood sweetheart Irene M. Mowry on August 5, 1950 and had three children; Sharon, Connie & Darren. As a member of the US Army, he served in Korea from 1951-1952. He worked for 42 years at North American/Boeing while raising his family in the South Bay City of Lawndale. After retiring in 1988, he and Irene moved to Cathedral City, CA. He is survived by his wife Irene, his kids, Sharon & Bob Soderburg, Connie Thatcher, Darren & Claudia Thatcher, granddaughters; Nicole McMillen, Mackenzie Dakin with her husband David, Samantha Ruiz and great-grandchildren; Taylor Casillas, Chase Rothmeyer, Luke and Daryn Dakin. Along with many other loving family and friends. He was an honorable man, a steller athlete, animal lover and sports enthusiast that will continue to live in our hearts forever ~ Thank you for your love and support ~ The Thacher Family
