Liza Joie "Jon" Tan Buencilla Magnaye, Jr. passed away on February 22, 2022 in Los Angeles, CA. Liza is survived by her parents; her husband Albert Magnaye; her children Ajae Patrick (16) and Maki Clement (3); her step daughter Angel Magnaye; and her sister Stephanie Marie Buencilla. She will be forever remembered not just by her family but also by her relatives, friends and co-workers.

Liza was born in Manila, Philippines, on June 17, 1976 to Jose and Elizabeth Buencilla. She arrived in the United States with her sister Stephanie on August 1995 and reunited with her father Jose. Liza graduated from Los Angeles Valley College in 2001 and pursued her career as a Respiratory Therapist at Cedars-Sinai and Kaiser-Permanente. Liza married the love of her life, Albert on December 21, 2012 and welcomed her two beautiful sons.

The one thing that everyone will tell you, Liza was easy to love and she would love you back with all her heart. She would light up any room and if you were lucky enough to cross paths with her, she would brighten your day. Liza was the life of the party and united everyone from all the walks of life.

Liza has a passion for all the things creative, from interior designing, party planning, gardening, cooking, fashion, photography, and countless DIY projects. Liza loved to travel with her family and friends. She loved discovering new places, exploring different cultures and tasting different cuisines.

Liza loved making everything fabulous, yet loved the simple things, she was fierce and determined, yet gentle and generous, she loved to laugh with you, but was always there to lend her shoulder to cry on. Liza was a loving mother to her children, her family's guiding light, a faithful wife to her husband, her sister's bestfriend and everybody's friend.

Liza was many things to many of us, but one thing is certain, she will be missed and loved by all of us forever.
