Lisa Ann Stewart-Johnson was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to John Stewart and Dora Stewart on April 9, 1964. She was the youngest of four children. As a young child, Lisa moved to California with her family in 1969 and grew up in the San Fernando Valley.
After graduating from high school and later attending college, Lisa decided to pursue a career as an Accountant. Having an aptitude for numbers, she successfully managed financial records for insurance, mortgage and educational institutions. Always looking to enhance her skills, Lisa became a Certified Notary Public and started her own notary company. Lisa also worked briefly as an insurance agent and obtained her license after passing the property and casualty insurance exam.
Lisa met her "soul mate" William Johnson and they were married on July 27, 2007. Lisa and William enjoyed bike riding, attending art fairs, cooking meals, and going to church together until William went to his glory and passed away in 2009.
As a faithful Christian and member of Shepherd of the Hills Church in Porter Ranch, California, it was the teachings of Christ that Lisa abided by and followed in all aspects of her life.
Lisa was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She loved her dog "Muffin" who preceded her in death. She enjoyed helping those in need by assisting food ministries and other outreach programs. Music was one of her favorite pastimes. Lisa loved praise music, gospel, jazz, and rhythm & blues. Lisa was a great listener and had a wonderful sense of humor. She always had a beautiful smile and could easily laugh. There was a very tranquil and serene peace around Lisa that made you feel comfortable.
Lisa Ann Stewart-Johnson concluded her life surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 27, 2013.
She leaves to cherish her memory, father John Stewart, mother Dora Stewart, step-mother Bessie Stewart, two sisters Donna Stewart and Vicki Stewart-Whitaker, brother Gregory Stewart, niece Talisha Sampson, three nephews, Chase King, Joshua Stewart and Micah Stewart, brother-in-laws Glynn Whitaker and Steve McLurkin, best friend Teresa Baltazar, friend and advisor Diane Demay Howard, as well as countless relatives and friends.
