Linda Sarenas

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Linda Sarenas, who died peacefully on February 2, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was 84. 

Born on April 12, 1940, in the Philippines, Linda dedicated her life to her family. She immigrated to United States on her own in the 80's to secure a better life for her children. They were finally reunited ten years later. Her career was always in the legal field as a lawyer in the Philippines until her retirement from the California Department of Justice, Attorney General's Office. Her resilience and determination were the source of strength for her family. 

A loving mother and a doting grandmother, her thoughtfulness and generosity are unparalleled. 

An avid golfer, she was a long-time member and 2-time President of Club 1872. She played her favorite sport almost every week of her adult life. Her children and grandchildren’s love for golf was through her teaching and time spent with them on the golf course. She was most alive when playing golf.

She is survived by her three children: Justice, Lovee, and Dinggo; her sons-in-law Raymond and Paul; daughter-in-law, Maricar; and her grandchildren: Justin, Ryan, Kaylie, Carys and Lia. She also leaves behind her siblings and their families, her dear friends, and golfing buddies.

A service to honor and celebrate her life will be held on February 26, 2025 at Church of the Hills, Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills beginning at 3:00 p.m. Visitation is on February 24 and 25, 2025 between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to join in remembering a truly remarkable woman who gave so much and asked for so little in return. 

Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
