Newton, NH: Lillian A. "Sue" (Garjian) Mavrelion, 91, of Newton since 2006 and formerly of Easton, MA, died on December 3, 2014 at Exeter Hospital after being stricken at her home.

Born, raised, and educated in Boston, MA daughter of the late Abraham and Arousiag (Eskenderian) Garjian, she attended Boston public schools.

Mrs. Mavrelion was employed as a seamstress for local Boston clothing manufacturers and was most recently employed as a baker at Shaw's Supermarket in Easton, MA for many years.

A member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Brockton, she enjoyed knitting, sewing, and gardening. Mrs. Mavrelion also enjoyed baking and made many wedding cakes for family weddings.

She was predeceased by her husband, John T. Mavrelion, and is survived by four sons, James J. Mavrelion and his wife Pamela of Newton, NH, Charles Mavrelion and his wife Cleo of Windsor, CT, Theodore Mavrelion and his companion Kathy of Marlboro, MA, and John Michael Mavrelion and his wife Julie of Cohasset, MA, a daughter, Diane Reilly and her husband James of Taunton, MA, eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, December 8, 2014 from 11 to 1 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home. Burial will take place on Tuesday, December 9 in Mount Hope Cemetery in Boston, MA. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.
