Lillian Elsie Mathews

Lillian Elsie Mathews, 92, born on October 14, 1922 in Hastings, Minnesota, the second born of six sisters and four brothers.
Lillian passed away January 24, 2015. She resided in Los Angeles, California at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, California.

Lillian Mathews was an agriculturalist and studied at the University of Minnesota. She was a hard worker. She was a great help to her father on the farm.
She even plowed the fields using a team of work horses.

She worked as a clerk at National Battery. The company decided to transfer her to Los Angeles where she met her husband and had four children and six grandchildren. Her eldest son lives in Texas and the rest live in California.

She had many friends at her home at Solheim. Her hobbies and interests include a love for plants and flowers. She traveled to Hawaii and the Holy Land. She belonged to the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed going to group activities like exercise, bingo, spelling, music and worship and field trips.

She was a beautiful soft spoken lady who's love for God and her family reflected in her life. She will be greatly missed by all.
