Lillian Clow, a beacon of strength and unwavering love, departed this world on December 1, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on February 25, 1931, in Moutier, Switzerland, Lillian possessed an indomitable spirit that would carry her through a life enriched with adventure, resilience, and devotion.

With a heart as expansive as her cherished memories, Lillian dedicated over 50 years of her life volunteering at the Boys Republic, touching countless lives with her compassion. She was a woman of remarkable independence, exemplified in her embrace of life after the passing of her beloved husband Robert, bravely navigating her final 18 years on her own terms. Her strength shone bright, especially when she faced the challenge of cancer at the age of 87, a battle she steadfastly conquered.

A passionate gardener, Lillian found solace and joy among her plumerias, which she lovingly tended to in her yard. Each year during her treasured trips to Maui, she returned home with a new plumeria, each bloom carrying the memory of sun-kissed days spent in paradise. She reminisced fondly about those early hijinks on houseboats with close friends, the laughter echoing through the waters, and the joyous moments spent reconnecting with her sisters in Switzerland.

Food was one of Lillian's great loves, and anyone who witnessed her delight in a sumptuous cheese fondue could see the sheer joy reflected in her eyes. Those who knew her will forever cherish her generous spirit and open heart; she embraced everyone who crossed her path, welcoming each person into her life with arms wide open. Lillian’s loved ones will remember her as the most supportive, loving, and wonderfully stubborn woman, qualities that made her a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister. Miriam, her devoted daughter, often reflected, “I was lucky she chose me to be her daughter!”

In addition to her daughter Miriam, Lillian is survived by son-in-law George, grandson Max, her beloved sisters Janet, Helene, Elisabeth, Louisanne, and her brother-in-law Gaston, along with her cherished niece Christelle and nephews Gary and Steve. She is predeceased by her mother Alice, father Fritz, stepfather Louis, and niece Julianne, whose spirits continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved them.

Lillian’s funeral service will be held at Forest Lawn - Covina Hills in Covina, California, on December 20, 2025, at 2:30 PM. Friends and family will gather to celebrate her remarkable life and the legacy of love she leaves behind.

Though her physical presence will be missed, Lillian Clow's spirit will grace the gardens of our hearts forever, a testament to an extraordinary life lived with fervor, tenderness, and a tenacity unmatched.
