Lilian L. Lamangan, age 92, passed away peacefully alongside loved ones, on July 14, 2026. She resided in West Covina, CA at the time of her passing.

Born on October 09, 1933 in Cavite City, Philippines, Lilian was the daughter of Juanita De Leon and Francisco Lamangan. She was the youngest of five sisters and one brother. Lilian attended Philippine Normal College, where she studied and eventually worked in finance and banking. She immigrated to the United States in the 1970's, where she continued her work in New York and then Los Angeles, where she eventually settled. A maternal figure for many in her family, she raised her niece France, and later cared for the children of her niece Erlyn: Nikki, Brian, and Jay. Alongside those she cared for, she is survived by her many nieces and nephews - Rolando, Sery, Gary, Vicky, Nying, Solly, and Jackie - as well as several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

She was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith and enjoyed gardening, particularly caring for orchids. She was a proud Lakers fan, taking pride in knowing Los Angeles "like the back of [her] hand", and was known for her popular Filipino dishes. She is remembered for her incredible generosity, strong spirit, and compassionate heart.

A celebration of her life will be held at Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, CA. Viewing and Mass to be held on August 14, 2026, following a burial on August 17th, 2026.

God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
