Lilia J. Davila, 78, was born on February 9, 1934 in Mexico City, Mexico and passed away on October 31, 2012. She was a resident of Glendale, California at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Glendale, California.

Alejandrina Socorro Lilia Davila, 78, died peacefully on October 31, 2012, after a difficult struggle with cancer. Lilia was born on February 9, 1934, in Mexico City, the daughter of Ramon Jimenez and Lucia Agrasanchez. Lilia and her family moved to Guadalajara, Jalisco, when she was 13. She went to school to pursue a career as an executive secretary and worked for a successful shoe company for many years until she met an married her soulmate Carlos Arturo Davila. She left her beloved Mexico for the United States to start a family. On July 13 of this year, Lilia and Carlos celebrated 55 years of marriage. Her family and friends, and more recently bowling, were Lilia's passions. Lilia lost her own mother at age 2, but had an amazing intuitive ability to mother. Realizing their bias, Lilia's children believe they were blessed with one of the world's best moms. Not having had an athletic background, Lilia surprised her friends and family when she took up and excelled at bowling, winning trophies in league competitions. Lilia is survived by her husband Carlos, son Arturo of Glendale, daughters Linda Aguirre of San Mateo, Lilia Deligio of Burbank, Mariaelena Davila-Auwarter of San Diego, and six grandchildren, Kimbery, Jennifer, Giancarlo, Rafael, Rachel and Christine. There will be a private service for immediate family and close friends at the Church of the Recessional at Forest Lawn Cemetary in Glendale, California. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent in Lilia's name to MAEGA Scholarships, P.O. Box 1782, Solana Beach, CA 92075, or the American Cancer Society.
