Lilia S. Adkinson

It is with a heavy heart, that the Adkinson family announces the passing of our beloved mother, Lilia Socorro Adkinson. 

Lilia Adkinson, 69, born on August 22, 1955, in Leon, GTO, Mexico, passed away March 18, 2025 at 12:12 am, surrounded by her loved ones.

Lilia lived an extraordinary life. She raised her children, watched her grandchildren grow up and had the opportunity to witness her great-grand children be born.

She was very proud of her many accomplishments in life, including retiring after 35 years with the Santa Ana Unified School District and strived to uphold perfect attendance. Along with those accomplishments, some of her proudest moments in life was knowing she raised hard-working children that were able to achieve big mile stones in life, such as getting married, having kids, obtaining careers and being home owners.

These were all life goals Lilia wanted for her children and got to experience before her passing. 

Lilia had a love and passion for cooking and baking. Holidays such as New Years Eve, Saint Patty's Day, 4th of July were always celebrated. Holidays such as Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas were her all time favorite. More so, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Lilia would plan and prep for days in advanced to make sure her dinners were fully executed to her standards. Lilia always made sure to have a full spread of food and drinks available to offer when guest came by. When it came to planning and decorating, she was always on point. It was through her love for cooking and baking, her way of expressing her love and appreciation to you.

As we all know, she was also no stranger to the Casino, one of her favorite pass times. Las Vegas being one of her favorite trips to take with her sons. 

The Adkinson family is at peace with her passing, as it would of been something she required from us. We love you mom, grandma, great-grandma, niece, aunt and sister. You will never be forgotten, because you will forever be in our hearts and memories.

Your legacy will continue on through your great-grandchildren and with each generation thereafter.

Until we meet again, this is not a goodbye, but see you again soon. 

Lilia resided in Riverside, CA (2022-2025) at the time of her passing. Lilia is survived by her 3 children: son, Raymond Joseph Adkinson and wife, Jessica Adkinson, her son, Ricky Eddie Adkinson and husband, Paul Ryan Adkinson and her son Michael Eric Adkinson and his wife, Maria Cristina Adkinson. Grandchildren: Diedra Lorraine Adkinson, Vanessa Damaris Adkinson, Raymond Joseph Adkinson Jr. Great-Grandchildren: Hazel Liliana Salazar-Adkinson & Elijah King Mejia-Adkinson.

Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Long Beach, CA. The services well be held at the Memorial Chapel, at 2:00pm, April 24, 2025 on Forest Lawn property. 

Burial services will follow the mass services at 3:00pm, April 24, 2025, directly over to the Benevolence grave site. Right outside the Memorial Chapel.
