LeWane Miller

LeWane “Lee” Miller left us on August 16, 2025 and flew to Heaven to be with her family, friends and her favorite meerkats! She leaves behind her son Michael Tim Gustin of Idyllwild, CA, her daughter Stacey Lee Miller of Portland OR and her grandson Michael Tim Gustin JR of Colorado Springs, CO along with many cousins and friends. Lee was born in Southern CA and moved away for a while and returned in 1984. She was a Riverside County Probation Officer for over 25 years dedicating her time outside of work to giving back. She volunteered at The Living Desert for over 33 years, where she sponsored the Meerkat exhibit. She also enjoyed volunteering at the CV Art Festivals and La Quinta under the Umbrellas. With special thanks to those at The Palms Assisted Living Facility for making her end times comfortable. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The Living Desert in Palm Desert or the FellowEarthlings.org/donations in Morongo Valley.

Services will be at The Living Desert in Palm Desert, CA in the Chase building on September 27, 2025. Doors will open at 10 am and the service will start at 10:30, with a brief reception to follow for fellowship. In honor of Lee’s extravagant colors please wear colors to celebrate her.
