Leslie Louise Danelian

June 12, 1959 — September 18, 2015

Leslie Louise Danelian, 56, born on June 12, 1959 in Santa Monica, California, passed away September 18, 2015. She resided in Sherman Oaks, California, at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, California.

Leslie Louise Danelian passed away peacefully on the morning of September 18th after a two and a half year battle with brain cancer. She was at home surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her mother Louise Danelian, her children Andrew and Emily Smith, her loving husband Richard Berge and her brother Stephen Danelian.

Leslie was born June 12, 1959 to Louise and Richard Danelian in Los Angeles California. She attended University High School, before studying English at USC. She married Richard Smith May 25th, 1985 and they had two children, Andrew and Emily.

Among her many talents, Leslie was an incredible cook. She set up a catering company which eventually led her to opening her own restaurant, Sweet Butter Kitchen, in Sherman Oaks. It was a huge success from the start and the entire neighborhood was rejuvenated because of Sweet Butter's success.

Leslie found love again and married Richard Berge to whom she has been married for the last 13 years. But of all her incredible achievements, her greatest accomplishment by far was raising her two children, Andrew and Emily of whom she was most proud.

Leslie was the light in so many lives, and all those who knew and loved her are suffering a deep and great loss.

But we know she is in heaven with those who went before her, including her father Richard whom she adored. She is "cancer-free, pain-free, fearless and at peace".

A Celebration Service will be held at 1:00 on September 24th at Trinity House, 1015 California Street in Santa Monica.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Son, the whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
