Leonor Bracho

September 17, 1944 — August 8, 2017

Leonor Bracho was born on September 17, 1944, in Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico. She was raised in Tijuana, Baja California with her brother Jose, and her sister, Catalina, later moving to Mexico City at the age of 15. Leonor worked diligently to support her family and later married the love of her life, Marco Antonio, in 1967. They moved with their children, Marco, Monica, and Lizzette, to Los Angeles in 1976, where their subsequent sons, Christian and Paul were born. In the 1980s, Leonor received her high school diploma and worked for several companies in the LA area, and notably visited Taiwan to train employees as part of her work as Quality Assessment inspector. Following the unfortunate death of her beloved husband Marco, Leonor continued to work for Strategic Enlace, a company working in Hispanic markets all over southern California. She retired in 2016, giving her more time to spend time with her children and grandchildren: Anais, Isaiah, Silas, Marco, Eric, Paulina, Eli and Elise.

Leonor's greatest joy was her family. She especially enjoyed family get-togethers at her home in La Puente, and was a huge lover of holidays, especially Christmas when her home would become a sparkling winter wonderland, decorated with lights, dolls, and ornaments she'd collected for years. Leonor's hobbies included arts and crafts, tending to her garden, and visiting her neighborhood spots such as La Poblana Restaurant, Marcy's Hair Salon, and the Herbalife Club in La Puente. For years, Leonor amassed a large collection of dolls, and always maintained a deep love for dogs.

Leonor passed away August 8, 2017. She will be incredibly missed by hundreds if not thousands of people, from her family, to colleagues and co-workers, to acquaintances she met over the years. No matter where she went, Leonor touched the hearts and souls of many with her kind and generous spirit, her incredible sense of humor, and her charming smile.
