Leonila Reyes

Leonila "Lola" Reyes, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on September 17, 2023, in Los Angeles. She was born on May 1, 1932, in Lipa City, Batangas. Her departure leaves a void in the lives of all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Lola was the bedrock of our family, she kept us all connected, and the beacon that guided us through life's storms. She was a living testament to the strength of the human spirit and the indomitable will to survive and thrive. Lola was a genius in math, a whiz in business, and an unstoppable force. Her determination and resilience are an inspiration to us all.

Aside from being a loving wife and mother to her seven beautiful children – Eva, Steve, Madonna, Marilou, Jun (Tutuy), Nerissa & Rossana.  Son in laws, Greg snd Ken and daughter in law Tess.  Lola had many other passions in life. She took great joy in keeping her surroundings tidy and organized; she was fastidious and efficient in everything she did. Gardening brought her significant solace as she nurtured plants with care and watched them flourish. Cooking was another skill she excelled at; her culinary creations were enjoyed by family and friends alike.

Lola's proudest accomplishment was raising her seven children.  She instilled valuable life lessons in each of them while offering unwavering support along their respective paths.

In addition to her seven children, Lola leaves behind numerous grandchildren: Pia, Oppie, Michael, Chris, Mark, Martin, Kaycie, Rio, Megan, Lanelle, Miles, Carla, Taryn, CP, Junior and Rose and great grand children, Kennedy, Sophie, Rudi, and Aurelien, and her favorite pet, Onyx.  Each generation had the privilege of witnessing Lola's love and affection.

To honor the memory of Leonila Reyes and celebrate her extraordinary life, visitation services will be held on October 2, 2023. The event will take place from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Forest Lawn - Glendale located at 1712 South Glendale Avenue in Glendale, CA.

A funeral service will follow on October 3rd at the Little Church of the Flowers at Forest Lawn - Glendale. The service will commence at 1:30 PM and conclude at 2:30 PM. Friends and family are encouraged to attend both events to pay their final respects.

Leonila "Lola" Reyes was an exceptional woman who touched the lives of many. Through her unwavering love and devotion to family and friends, she created lasting memories that will forever be cherished. Her spirit will continue to live on in our hearts as we remember her fondly.
