Leonidas Polk Driskill

Leonidas Polk Driskill, 99, passed away February 9, 2018 at Brookdale Senior Living in Northridge, CA, where he resided the past two years.

Mr. Driskill was a World War ll veteran serving in the US Army. After returning in 1945 from his military assignment, he was accepted to UCLA College of Engineering where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree and was honored with membership into the Institute of Aeronautical Sciences. Mr. Driskill worked in the aeronautical field until his retirement in 1988.

Leonidas P. Driskill, Jr. was born in Oran, Missouri on December 7, 1918 to Leonidas P. Driskill, Sr. and Effie G. (Rhoades) Driskill. Leon was a loving and gentle man who was devoted to his family, caring for his mother and several sisters. Mr. Driskill was a devout Christian and a member of Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church.

Mr. Driskill is survived by his nieces and nephews; Pamelia Phoenix, Patricia Moore, Nancy Bragg, James Price and Stephen Meinberg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, George Driskill; sisters, Mellie Finley, Helen Price, and Mary Neal Meinberg; nephew,
John Price and niece, Nancy Pope.

Leon will be greatly missed by his family.
