Leonard Lloyd Buckley, Jr.

Leonard (Dada) Lloyd Buckley, Jr., MD 63, passed away on Saturday September 7th, 2014 at 11:45 P.M. at Glendale Adventist Hospital in Glendale, CA surrounded by family and loved ones after a long valiant battle with cancer.
He was born on April 27, 1951, in Gary, Indiana to Leonard Lloyd Buckley Sr. and Geneva Buckley.
Leonard grew up in Saginaw, MI, where he attended Saginaw High School in 1969. He then went on to become a Michigan State Spartan and gradated in 1975 earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology as well as a Bachelor or Arts on Psychology. He then attended Ross University Caribbean Medical School where he obtained a Medical Doctorate in 1984. He also married his lovely wife Sherri in 1985 in Battlecreek, MI and moved to California where he worked as a Medical Author.
Leonard loved watching cartoons, his Dallas Cowboys, reading medical books, and lounging with the family cat "Boots." Above everything, he cherished being a loving husband, father, and especially grandfather.
Leonard is survived by his wife Sherri Buckley of Monrovia, California and three children; Kiara (Kiki) Buckley, Kenya Buckley, and Kamaria Buckley, all of Glendale,California; one grandchild Micah Porche; two brothers: Gregory Buckley of Hampton, Virginia and Gary Hunt of Saginaw, Michigan; two sisters: Janetta Washington of Novaville, Indiana and Linda Westley of Maryville, Indiana and a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents,and mother-in-law Edna Permelia.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 from 1:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn of Glendale in the main building. Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 20, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Little Church of The Flowers at Forest Lawn Glendale.
