Leona M. Raymond

Salem, NH:  Leona M. (Noury) Raymond, long time resident of Plaistow, NH, passed away on March 2, 2012 at Salem Haven.  Leona was born in Haverhill, MA on February 4, 1918 to the late Alfred J. Noury Sr. and Emma (Bell) Noury.

She was particularly proud of having been a member of the Philomatheon Honor Society as a student at Haverhill High School.  Leona loved music and singing.  Leona was a loving wife and mother who took great pride in her family and home.

The wife of the late Wilfred J. Raymond who died in 2010, she is survived by her son Barry and his wife Kathleen of Atkinson, NH; daughter Darlene and her husband Gary Barnes of Sandown; four grandchildren Barry Raymond, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Sandown, Lisa J. Coy and her husband Michael of Tyngsboro, MA, Robbie Barnes and his wife Kelly of Sandown, Corey Barnes and his wife Christina of Sandown; great-grandchildren Michelle and Christopher Raymond of Sandown, Nicholas Janos and Jackie Coy of Tyngsboro, Cody and Cooper Barnes of Sandown.

The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care Leona received from the staff at Salem Haven.

A Private family funeral service will be held at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH with burial to follow at St. James Cemetery, Haverhill.  In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Leona's name to: Beacon Hospice House, 350 Main Street, Haverhill, MA  01830.
