Lena S. Ponce

Lena S. Ponce, 89, born October 4, 1924 in Long Beach, California, passed away March 9, 2014. She resided in Artesia, California at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California. Lena received many well deserved titles throughout her lifetime including; Friend, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and even Great-Grandmother. Her life began in a loving home with nine siblings and has grown to a thriving family of her own with four children, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was a loving and supportive wife to her husband Ysabel, or "Willie", for over sixty-two years. Lena's life leaves a powerful impression upon everyone she has come in contact with but can mainly be summed up in three words; Love, Joy and Peace. Lena loved with all her heart and reminded people of the simpler perspective of a life with love as the solution to all problems encountered. Her optimism was infectious and gave everyone around her an overwhelming amount of peace and well being. Her faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ gave her the strength to be the solid foundation her family depended on. Lena is loved and will always remembered. God Bless!
