Leland Bruce Daniels

Leland B. Daniels, age 80, passed away peacefully at his home in Huntington Beach, California on October 28, 2019. His wife and daughter were at his bedside. Lee was born August 14, 1939 in Haverhill, Massachusetts to Roland A and Phyllis V (Stone) Daniels. Lee served in the United States Navy from February 1957 to June 1960 as a Ship's Mechanic on the USS Valley Forge.
In 1963 Lee established his business AWC Commercial Window Coverings. Lee began the business with commercial janitorial services, expanding to government contracting and onsite drapery cleaning. The business has been successful for over 55 years, and he took great pride in being a small business owner having employed hundreds of people over the years.
A lifelong love of racing cars and boats, lead to Lee joining the American Power Boat Association "APBA" in 1985. In 1986 and 1987 he held High Point in his racing class, Jet Boats, and proudly won the "US1 National Championship."
He is survived by his beloved wife Cindy of 35 years, his daughter Lisa Wozab and her husband Dan, and grandchildren Allie, Ansley and Andrew, also his sister Linda Rima.
Memorial Services will be held at Forest Lawn Church of Our Fathers in Cypress on November 12, 2019 at 2:00 PM, at 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, California 90630
He touched so many people and will continue to do so. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to the Leland B. Daniels Memorial Entrepreneurship Program Scholarship.
