Lee Eric Seebach was born on June 14, 1944 to Lillian L. & Lloyd F. Seebach, in the town of Rochester, N.Y.; his life came to a close on February 28, 2013 in Bermuda Dunes, Calif. Even though at the time of his death, he had been a resident of Palm Springs, Calif. for the last six years, Lee had chosen to make his home in several other parts of this great state, as well. Mr. Seebach is survived by two sons, Mr. Jeff Seebach of Los Angeles, Calif. and Mr. Christopher Kennedy of Palm Springs. He also leaves behind one grandson, Mr. Hawk Kenny of Los Angeles, Ca. Also mourning this deep loss are his fiancé, Michelle M. Dias and son-in-law, David Clark, both of Palm Springs. To each of the afore-mentioned individuals, Lee has left a lasting impression on their lives. Mr. Seebach was not a common man in any sense of the word. When asked his occupation in life, you would receive any answer from "Electrical Engineer" to "Rocket Scientist"⦠However, it is vital for the reader to know how important a role he played in the U.S.'s launching of its' first mission to Mars. Yet this bravely intelligent man, who spent hundreds of hours working on test systems for both federal and private corporations all over the world, could hold a frightened, six-week old puppy in his lap and calm her with just the stroke of his hand within moments. This was a GIFT; a side of this man that few got to see. For those of you who had the most fortunate opportunity to meet Mr. Lee E. Seebach, during his short stay here with us, you would have found him to be quite soft-spoken and self-effacing, very quick-witted and humorous and always ready with a listening ear. He was, in short, many things to many people during his life's time. A service will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Ramon Room of Forest Lawn Mortuary, 69855 Ramon Road, Cathedral City, CA 92234, with a small celebration of Lee's life to follow for family members and close friends at 2270 S. Caliente Dr., Palm Springs, CA 92264. Forest Lawn Memorial Parks & Mortuaries. To view and sign this guestbook, please visit mydesert.com/obituaries.
