Lawrence Rennert

Larry Ira Rennert, born March 14, 1941, in New York, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2024, in Long Beach California, where he spent the later years of his life. Larry was a man of great integrity, kindness, and a sharp sense of humor that endeared him to all who knew him.

He was passionate about his family, his friends, and the joy he found in life’s simple pleasures. Larry’s love for running and camaraderie shone through his involvement with the Hash House Harriers, where he was affectionately known as “Repeater.” It was through this cherished community that Larry met the love of his life, Patty. Together, they shared decades of laughter, adventure, and an unshakable bond.

Larry is survived by his wife Patty, his children Sharon and Brendon Rennert, his beloved grandchild Renn, and his sister Helene Karo, along with countless friends who became like family. His warmth, wisdom, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all.

A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 1500 E. San Antonio Drive, Long Beach, CA 90807, on Monday, September 16th at 2:00 PM. We will meet graveside to honor and celebrate Larry’s life. A gathering will immediately follow at a nearby restaurant for those who wish to continue sharing memories.
