Laverne Margaret Evans Keesling

Laverne E. Keesling 87, of Marina Del Rey, Ca. 90292 passed away peacefully on Monday, January 19, 2015, at home with family and friends at her side.

She was born August 13, 1927, in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of the late John T. Evans and Mary (Machuga) Evans.

Laverne graduated in 1946 from North Union High School, Uniontown, Pennsylvania, and from West Reserve College, Ohio, as a Laboratory Technician. After completing her education she moved to California where she resided until her death.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Keesling in 1997, brothers, John, Joseph and Paul Evans, sisters, Ann Tamondy, Judy Evans, Marie Maruca, and Agnes Evans.

She is survived by her two sisters, Helen Kadja 92, and her husband Mike of Placerville, California, and Kathern Balunek 89, of Trumbull, Connecticut and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015, 12:30, at Forest Lawn 6300 Forest Lawn Drive Los Angeles, Calif. 90068.
