Laura Angela Hoffman, 96, of Indian Wells, Calif. passed away March 1, 2017 in Indian Wells of natural causes. She was born June 27, 1920, to Stanislaus Majewski and Wladyslawa Gunther in Philadelphia, Penn. She married Wayne Melvin Hoffman on January 26, 1946 in Chicago, Ill. She was a writer. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Hoffman Embree of Seal Beach, Calif. and Kristin Hoffman Evans of San Marcos, Calif.; son, Philip Wayne Hoffman of San Marcos, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Melvin Hoffman. A private service will be held at 12:00 pm on April 5, 2017 in the Ramon Chapel at Forest Lawn Cathedral City. The family suggests that donations be made to Reliance Hospice in Palm Desert, Calif. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Indio.
