Laura Esther Flores

Laura Flores, 87, born on April 29, 1937, passed away June 26, 2024. She resided in San Dimas, CA at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, CA.

Laura was born in Ensenada, Baja California, and emigrated to the United States in 1945.  She attended school in Los Angeles, CA, and graduated in the 1956 Winter Class of Abraham Lincoln High School. 

She married Jaime Rojas Flores on October 12, 1957 at Saint Vibiana Cathedral in Los Angeles. They were married for 48 years and 9 months. Jaime passed on August 6, 2006   She had fours sons: Richard, 1957, Rudolph, 1961, Gilbert, 1962, and Steven 1970 and three daughter-in-laws: Stella, Silvia, and Elena;  nine grand children and three great-grandchildren.

Over the years, Laura participated in many organizations, clubs, and groups.  She was a Den Mother in Cub Scout Pack 651 in Baldwin Park, CA. Acted in plays at Mount San Antonio College, worked as an ESL aide in the Baldwin Park and Covina school districts, was an avid square dancer with her husband Jaime and traveled the U.S.A. attending regional dances, was a member of the West Covina Red Hat Society "Vintage Red Roses" chapter, and an active member of the Covina Senior Center. 

She was a wife, a mother of four, and a friend to so many more.
