Larry Deane Hale, II, 44, born on January 28, 1971, in Inglewood, California, passed away December 6, 2015. He resided in Northridge, California at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Glendale, California.
Larry lived in Gardena, California for the first seven years of his life. He got his first roommate when his Auntie Della came to stay with our family while her husband went on his tour of duty in the Navy in 1972. They developed a very special bond that lasted the rest of his life. Auntie Della surprised him with his first pets - two chicks, Brownie the hen and Cockadoodle the rooster, just in time for Easter.
When he was three years old he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and soon thereafter started school and therapy at C. Morley Sellery School for Special Education, also in Gardena. He loved going to school and waiting with Mom and/or Grandma for the big yellow bus to pick him up at Grandma's and Grandpa's house and take him to school every day.
On October 30, 1978 the family moved to our new home in Northridge. Larry quickly settled in and started school at Lokrantz Elementary School. He later went on to J. Miller High School in Reseda. When he finished high school he joined TASC, The Adult Skills Center and spent the last 24 years as a client there. He loved going to TASC everyday, the staff, his co-consumers, the barbecues and most of all the Christmas parties.
Larry was always a happy, loving person who loved joking around with everyone. He loved everyone and never had an unkind word to say about anyone. He had an extraordinary memory for birthdays, anniversaries and any other special dates and would remind anyone who would listen of the upcoming events.
He loved music, John Denver was his favorite, loved to sing and would belt out at the top of his lungs any song that he knew the words to that was playing on TV, the radio or a band playing at an event.
He is survived by his dad, Larry; his mom, Valeria; his sister, Angela; his Aunt Adella; cousin John and his wife Bobbie and their two sons, Devin and Dylan.
