Lara Nadia Ibrahim

Lara Nadia Ibrahim, 58, of Burbank, California, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026 surrounded by family. 

Lara was born in Minneapolis, MN to the late George W. and Ilze B. Ibrahim (nee Saprasa). At a young age, Lara moved to Virginia, MN where she grew up playing the piano, violin, and saxophone. Music performance became her lifelong passion. She pursued formal musical training at Gustavus Adolphus College and graduated with a degree in music. Her professional music career began shortly thereafter when she joined the All-American College Orchestra at DisneyWorld, then moved to California to continue to pursue her career. Lara enjoyed working at Disneyland in the Magic Music Days / Guest Talent Programs, stage managing visiting performing groups from all over the country. During this time, she continued performing musical comedy with her violin and creating funny musical videos, playing the character of Mrs. Beethoven, a B+ musician and others. Lara ultimately obtained a Master of Business Administration from UCLA and transitioned into the Disney corporate offices, all while continuing her musical performances.

Lara’s greatest joy was the birth of her son George in 2016. Lara was a devoted mother who shared her musical passion by teaching George to play piano.

Lara was preceded in death by her beloved parents. Lara is the loving mother of her young son, George Ibrahim; cherished sister of Zaki Ibrahim (Jill), Andra Ibrahim Duncan (Brian), and Michael Ibrahim (Joana); devoted aunt of Hayden, Benjamin, Nicholas, Zoë, Dino, and Connor. She also leaves behind a host of extended family and dear friends who will miss her loving nature and vibrant spirit.

Funeral services will be held at the Old North Church at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills, CA at 12:00 noon on June 13, 2026. A Celebration of Life and burial will be held in her childhood hometown of Virginia, MN on June 27, 2026 at 11:00 am following a visitation at 10:00 am.
