Kyoung Su Seo, 93, of Anaheim, died Sunday.

She was born on April 12, 1920 in South Korea. She married the late Jungha Wu at the age of 18 in 1938, and they lived together until his death in August of 1950 during the Korean War. The late Jungha Wu was from a wealthy family and ran successful businesses. He was also known for his generous contributions to charitable causes.

After her husband's death, Kyung Su raised her daughters by herself without any outside assistance. Kyung Su loved taking care of children and moved in with her second daughter in 1965 to help raise her grandchildren. She immigrated to the United States in 1973 with her second daughter's family.

Kyung Su was a devout Christian. She attended church regularly and read the Bible daily. She was very social and had lots of friends. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed going to Las Vegas to play slot machines. She also loved family gatherings. She enjoyed taking care of family by cooking delicious meals. She even took care of neighbors children and babysat them often.

Kyung Su was a very independent person and lived in a senior apartment from 1998 until 2000 before moving in with her third daughter due to early signs of Alzheimer's disease. Due to her failing health, Kyung Su moved into a convalescent home in Anaheim in 2003 where she remained until her death.

There will be no viewing. Burial will be held July 19 at 9 a.m. at Cypress Forrest Lawn Cemetery.
