Kyle Matthew Benzen

Born on May 24, 1983, in Lompoc, CA, Kyle was a very happy child. He participated in Boy Scouts, played sports, played guitar, and attended church. He loved skateboarding and snowboarding. He enjoyed travel, and he especially loved going to several places in Europe. He liked to draw and paint, and gave several paintings to his friends and family.

Kyle graduated from Esperanza High School and then Cal State Fullerton University. He earned a bachelor's degree in Marketing and worked in several engineering companies where he was a very successful capture manager on new bids and proposals.

Kyle married the love of his life, Deborah Levin, and they resided in Long Beach, where they loved to cook together, watch videos, and be entertained by their two pet parakeets. He and Deborah especially like watching Seinfeld reruns.

He had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and God and often listened to scriptures while going to and from work. He loved to talk about his beliefs, whether religious or political, with those he cared about.

Kyle was a great son, taking time to text or call his parents regularly to ask how they were doing and what was going on in their lives. He would tell them about his latest bids that he had won at work and talked about the latest TV series or movie he'd seen with Deborah.

As a brother, Kyle always asked about each of his brothers and sisters. He deeply cared about family and felt that it was his responsibility to keep ties strong with each of them. Family was very important.

Kyle was preceded in death by his brother, Michael. Kyle is survived by his wife, Deborah Levin, parents, Gordon (Tammy) Benzen and Ellen (Jeff) Hall, his siblings Jen (Rick) Smith, Ryan (Maureen) Hall, Lauren (Derick) Gines, Taylor Hall, Chris Benzen, Kaylyn Benzen, stepsister's Lauren Ioffrida, Sara Ioffrida, and nieces Isabel Jensen (Jennifer), Eloise Jensen (Jennifer), Elsa Jensen (Jennifer), Sayge Limbourne (Kaylyn), Emma Hall (Ryan) and nephew Drew Jensen (Jennifer).

Kyle had many friends over the years, from his youth, school, and work. He was a great friend and was always first to lend a hand with a move or other task that needed to be done.

Kyle will be missed by all. There is a large hole in our lives at this time, but we are comforted to know that Kyle is at peace, with our Heavenly Father, and we will see him again.
