Kwee Eem Lee

Kwee Eem Lee, 88, of Alameda, CA passed away peacefully on January 3, 2021. She was born to parents Jung Min Park and Young Rye Yang, on September 7, 1932 as forth child in Sochun, South Korea.

Kwee attended and graduated from Kong Ju Sabum High School.
She loved and was good at singing classical songs and running for her schools several years. She enjoyed sewing women's dresses. She was fluent in Japanese.

Shortly after graduation, she taught in elementary schools and got married in Mokpo, Korea. She moved to Seoul and had a business Rasara Yangjangjum in Chongroe for 10+ years. Then, she came to the U.S. on May 25, 1988 to pursue her American dream. She lived in Los Angeles, Stevenson Ranch, Orlando and Alameda.

Kwee is survived by her daughter Helen Lee; son in law Taesoo Lee; and three grandchildren Annette, Adrian, and Arik. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family, extended family, church families and friends in Los Angeles, Stevenson Ranch, Orlando, Alameda, Seattle and S. Korea. Her funeral service will take place at 9:30am on February 12, 2021. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, California.
