Kwaku "Joe" Boasiako

Kwaku "Joe" Boasiako, 39, born on December 27, 1983, passed away April 19, 2023 after a 6 month battle with cancer. Kwaku was born in Accra, Ghana and moved to Bronx, NY in 1996. He graduated high school with honors from Evander Childs High School in Bronx, NY. He received a scholarship to play soccer at Keuka College in Keuka Park, NY. After playing soccer for 4 years, he transferred to City College of New York in New York City and earned a BSW.  

He met his future wife in 2004 and eventually relocated to Fontana, CA in 2008 to get married and begin their lives together.

He and his loving wife went on to have 2 daughters and a son. Kwaku dedicated his life to service, obtaining a Master's of Social Work degree from CSUSB in 2011 and working for San Bernardino County Children & Family Services since then. He served in various roles as a social service practitioner there, ending his career as a supervisor.

In his spare time, Kwaku "Joe" enjoyed playing soccer, fishing and being a family man. He looked forward to an annual men's fishing trip with friends and family. He and his wife enjoyed taking their young children camping in their travel traveler, as well as exploring new places. He was an active father who attended his children's different sporting and school events and activities. His family was his pride and joy.

Kwaku "Joe" Boasiako is survived by his wife, Erica Pace Boasiako, 3 children, Christina (11) Kennedy (8) and Tristan (4), as well as his mother, Margaret Manu, stepfather Kofi Attah, sister Issabella Kyei, brother Rowland Boateng and countless friends.

A viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, May 10 2-6pm at Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, CA

A graveside service will take place Thurs, May 11, 2023 @ 9:30am at Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, CA.

The family is hosting a Celebration of Life at Mountain Meadows Golf Course 11a-3p.
