Kountez D. Moore, age 78, a long time resident of Dayton, Ohio where she was born and more recently a member of the community of Cerritos, CA, passed peacefully on October 20, 2023. Kountez was the daughter of Edward and Wertha Dugger and the sister of Edward Dugger III and Wrise V. Booker. A devoted mother, she is survived by her two sons, Gary and Dereck Moore and two grandchildren, Dereck J. Moore and Morgan D. Moore. Kountez was a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, OH and served as a Senior Accountant for a division of General Motors for 30 years. In her spare time she pursued her love of sports as a track and field official for over 20 years, participating in the Olympics as such in 1996. Kountez was also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority for all of her adult life. Arrangements for her memorial service are under the care of Forest Lawn, Cypress CA and will be announce shortly.
