Kingsley Fernando, 95, born on March 9, 1930, passed away June 15, 2025. He was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka and was married to his best friend, Edna Fernando (December 6th, 1937 to March 25th, 2018). Together, they had Adrian, Lorraine, Rohan, and the late Angus. They emigrated from Sri Lanka to the U.S. in 1976 with the help of Festus Arseculeratne, settling first in Norwalk, California and then later in Cerritos, where Kingsley resided until his passing.
He lovingly helped care for his grandchildren: Naleen, Nicholas, Angele, Roshan, and Shani, and doted on his great-grandchild, Peach. Baila was his favorite music, and he loved reading, watching Sri Lankan soap operas, praying the Rosary, attending Mass, wearing sarongs, and watching Jeopardy.
Viewing arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Cypress, CA and can be found below.
The family will hold a private burial service and appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time.
