King Robinson Woods

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of King Robinson Woods of Chino Hills, California. King passed away on November 13, 2022, at the age of 83 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on August 18, 1939, in Memphis Tennessee to Luke and Catherine Woods. King served his country stationed in Berlin, Germany where he met his wife of 60 years, Monika. After serving in the army, he attended and graduated from California State University at Los Angeles. He worked for the City of Los Angeles for over 23 years as a City Planner. After retirement, he was the owner of a land use consulting business for nearly 30 years. King loved travel, music, art, food, and a good story. His wisdom, patience, humor, and optimism will be sorely missed. He was an amazing man with a heart of gold. He is preceded in death by his parents Luke and Catherine, brother Nathan, and grandson Ellis Woods. King is survived by his wife Monika, son Andrew, daughter Erika Woods-Diaz, granddaughters Emily Woods, Tatianna Diaz and brothers Luke Jr., Ronald, Paul, and J. Marvin Hassan. Funeral Services December 8, 2022, for close family and friends.
