Kevin Lindley Field

December 5, 1955 — March 16, 2017

Kevin Lindley Field, 61, born on December 5, 1955, in Evanston, Illinois, passed away March 16, 2017. He resided in Los Angeles, California at the time of his passing. He is survived by his wife, Blanca, his daughter Linda, his brothers Keith and Kerry and stepsister Patricia. He was the loving son of Keith and Dolores Field. In his youth he was a football star, gymnastics all around, musician and artist. His passion for art drew him to California. He sold all his belongings and made the great drive from Illinois to the West Coast in 1978. Starting as a freelance cartoonist he found his way into design at a couple embroidery companies where he met his wife Blanca in the summer of 1980. Kevin drew cartoons for Blanca, asking her on dates and the two were soon married in January of 1981. They shared 36 years together. In 1990 Kevin drew another cartoon for Blanca, this cartoon showing a little red head baby in her tummy, his daughter, Linda. Kevin instilled his love for art and music in Linda. A dedicated father, he and Linda enjoyed playing guitar together, being movie fanatics, and for 4 years practicing Kung Fu together where Kevin was 2 belts away from a black belt. Sydney and Kora, the family's Australian shepherds awakened a new passion to Kevin's life. In his final years he most enjoyed being a K-9 trainer where he took great pride in his doggy graduates. He was always a man of God and loved his church, where he taught children's Sunday school for years and lead a small men's group. He expressed his love for God most in his music. He played and plucked his guitar singing words of praise to his last day. A loving husband, son and brother, spectacular father, and caring friend, he will be greatly missed and forever celebrated.

A gathering for family and friends will take place after the service at the home of Yolanda Figueroa. Parking on street.
