Kenneth Walter Phillips

Kenneth Walter Phillips, 83, died on February 23, 2018
Kenneth was born on November 23, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Stanley Edward Phillips and Antoinette Christina Phillips who proceeded in his death as have his son Christopher Phillips and granddaughter Jessica Schilling. Kenneth is survived by his brother Stanley E Phillips Jr. and six children, Kimberly Hicks, Kathy Stucki, Kenneth Phillips, Bryant Phillips, Heather Ghram, Todd Phillips, nineteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren.
Kenneth married his forever sweetheart and only true love Arlene on October 19, 1955 at Saint Wenceslaus Church in Chicago, Illinois and had been married for 61 loving years before Arlene's passing in January 31, 2017. Ken and Arlene moved to the Coachella Valley in 1972 with six children and have been residents since moving to California.
Kenneth served in the Navy from 1953 to 1961, enjoyed being a school teacher in Chicago and later in California teaching at C.O.D., PDUSD and CVUSD. Ken enjoyed sailing and motorhome trips with Arlene and the kids to the beach and travel to new destinations. Ken's favorite song was Tiny Bubbles.
A memorial was held on February 23, 2018 at Forest Lawn in his honor and will be laid to rest at Palm Springs Cemetery on Ramon Road.

Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cathedral City, California.
