Kenneth Min Lew, 66, resident of San Antonio, TX, former long-time resident of Rowland Heights, CA passed away March 18, 2015 while vacationing in Las Vegas. Ken was born February 22, 1949 in Los Angeles to Gim and Ho Lew and is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Kristina (Christopher) of Orange, CA; son Jarrett of Rowland Heights, CA; daughter Tracey of Tustin, CA; and two grand children Lily and Evan. He is also survived by siblings Arthur Lew (Diana), Jean Fong (George), Margie Lew, brother-in-law Gerald Chan (Joyce) and nieces/nephews Daren (Kathy), Ronney (Caroline), Brandon, Bryan, Deborah, Jeffrey, Justin and grand nephews/nieces Ryan, Bryce, Nolan, Michael, Caroline and Susan. Ken is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Susan Wong.

A funeral service will be held at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills - Old North Church on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 9:00 AM; 6300 Forest Lawn Dr. Los Angeles, CA.
Viewing will be held on Friday, April 3 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM also at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills.

Ken spent his youth in the LA area and graduated from Los Angeles High School in 1967. He attended California State University, Los Angeles where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Business. His career path took him to the likes of gas station attendant and supermarket employee before landing him in his niche--law enforcement. Ken began as a reserve police officer in the '70's with the South Pasadena Police Department before transitioning to positions with the Social Security Adminstration and the US Postal Service in Florida. In 1979, he returned to California taking on the title of Special Agent with the US Department of Labor and would continue his journey, for decades more, with the US Department of Commerce, US Department of Treasury and US Customs Service. His career eventually brought him full circle when he joined the US Social Security Administration/Office of the Inspector General and co-led the division as Assistant Special Agent-in-Charge. Ken retired in 2006.

Ken married Linda Au in 1975 in Los Angeles, CA.

He was an fan of the state of Texas and enjoyed his retirement by vacationing there throughout the year. Other interests included visiting Las Vegas with Linda, building & flying model airplanes, all things law enforcement, old military movies and his most favorite role of all time--being "Gung Gung" to his grandkids, Lily and Evan.
