Kenneth Coolidge, 78, born 12/1/45 in Fall River, MA., died at home on June 8, 2024 in Seal Beach, California of cancer.
Ken grew up in Texas with his parents and brothers, Walt and Christopher. After graduating from high school, Ken joined the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era serving as a hospital corpsman in the Burn Unit at Oak Knoll Naval Hospital.
After his discharge from the Navy, Ken attended U.C. Berkeley, graduating in 1971. Ken worked in Commercial Banking for 30 plus years serving in many capacities, while also earning an MBA.
Ken was an avid swimmer, racquetball player and enjoyed skiing, and loved attending his grandchildren's sports games. Ken was a regular blood donor, supporter of Veteran organizations and contributor to food banks. He and his wife enjoyed taking family trips, including France, Portugal and Spain.
Ken and his wife, Martha, were married for 51 years. He was a loving husband and devoted father to Amy Freed (Dean) and Ian Coolidge (Meryl). Survivors include his brother, Chris (Wendy) of Chula Vista, Ca. Grandpa Ken was a devoted grandparent to his dear grandchildren, Nolan, Aurora Freed and Benjamin Coolidge.
We struggle to deal with his loss.
