Keith Alby Young

Keith Alby Young, born on January 23, 1940, in Charleston, West Virginia, passed away May 12, 2017 in Glendora, California at the age of 77.

He is survived by Janet Kay Young, his wife of 53 years, and his four daughters, Melissa Smith, Veronica Helmuth, Elizabeth Kearney, Deanna White, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister and two brothers.

Keith was born in Charleston, WV to Clarence and Lucy Young. He had two sisters and four brothers.

He and his brother-in-law, Tom, ran the family furniture manufacturing business, Williamson Couch Company, in South El Monte, where he worked for 45 years.

He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, working on his '51 Ford, playing poker, going to the casino on occasion, and watching the horses race at Santa Anita. His biggest enjoyment in life was spending time with his kids and grand-kids, being their biggest fan and strongest mentor.

Keith will be very fondly remembered for his kind heart, undying dedication to his family and friends, his firm handshake, his willingness to help anyone in their time of need.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 3rd at noon, at Forest Lawn-Covina Hills in the Church of Our Heritage.
