Kay Gilbert

Kay Cynthia Patterson Gilbert, age 87, of Upland, California, went home to be with the Lord on January 15, 2024. She was born April 26, 1936, in Akron, Ohio, to Kenneth and Gladys Graham Patterson. Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Richard (Dick) Gilbert, in January 2021. Kay graduated from New Castle High School and West Liberty University in Wheeling, WV. Kay started dating Dick Gilbert in high school and was married June 7, 1957, and enjoyed 63 years together. They moved to California along with her parents in the summer of 1960.  Kay enjoyed many successful years as a Mary Kay cosmetic and a Cookie Lee Jewelry Consultant.  She loved her involvement with her church with singing being the highlight of the service.  Kay will be deeply missed by her family and friends.   A celebration of her life will be held at Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, on February 6, 2024 at 9:30 am.  In Lieu of flowers donations can be made In Kay’s name to Northkirk Presbyterian church.   9101 19th St, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91701.  Via Zelle: giving@northkirk.org.
