Kathy Yvette Robinson was born the fourth of nine children to the union of Dorothy Christine and James O'Dell Robinson on June 14, 1962, in Los Angeles, California.
Kathy attended John Muir and graduated from Blair High School in 1980. She furthered her studies at Watterson Business College with a concentration in business administration. She attended Pasadena City College and later completed her education with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
She worked as an Executive Administrator at Lehman Brothers for several years and thereafter worked at the City of Hope, as an Administrative Analyst. Kathy's hobby of photography lead her to start her own photography business where she was able to touch so many with her beautiful heart and creative mind. Her soft-spoken voice and kind disposition were extremely contagious to everyone she met.
Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family and having fun dancing and singing. She loved the Lord and it showed in everything that she did. She rededicated her life to Jesus Christ in April of 2021 and she was baptized at Fellowship Church in Grapevine, Texas. She was committed to servant leadership and helping others to develop a relationship with the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Elizabeth Ashley Cantong, grandmother, Aneice Hardy, father, James O'Dell Robinson, brother Keith Dewayne Williams, sister, Evelyn Lorraine Robinson, and brother-in-law, Derwin Demon Dawson.
Kathy leaves to cherish her memory, children: David Christopher Cantong (Rachel), Christina Marie Cantong, Nicolas Cantong, and Joshua Cantong. Loving mother Dorothy Christine Robinson, brothers: Carl James Williams, Darren O'Dell Robinson, Steven A. Robinson, sisters: Diana Annetta Dawson, Raina Christine Taylor (Sherrard), Patricia Anice Robinson, Grandchildren: Vivienne Cantong and Matea Cantong, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
